6) Enlargement of the spleen
The most common place of infiltration of leukemic cells is the spleen, and the organ becomes large and induces early satiety. This can be noted in the physical examination or diagnosed with an ultrasound. Other places of infiltration include the gums, causing gingivitis and gum bleeding, and the liver, causing hepatomegaly or enlargement of the liver.
